In response to the Novel Coronavirus Outbreak, Fo Guang Shan has begun reciting the Prajnaparamita Heart Sutra to pray for the community in heeding to Buddhism’s compassionate call. Our thoughts of kindness may purify the world and transform society. As of today until 20th February 2020, we invite all to answer the call and pray that the epidemic be ended under the blessings of the Buddha. On 23rd February 2020, Fo Guang Shan Monastery will conduct a General Dedication of Merits Dharma Service to pray for victims of the Wuhan Coronavirus Outbreak.

I take refuge in the Sangha, wishing that all sentient beings lead the masses in harmony, without obstruction.

May kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity pervade all worlds;

May Chan, Pure Land, and Precepts inspire equality and patience;
