Introduction
Since 2005, Merit Times have organized the Vegetarian and Organic Food Expo to promote vegetarianism and the consumption of organic food. Vegetarianism is a healthy option and helps reduce carbon emission.
Since 2014, the vegetarian expo was combined with the international book fair, integrating the concept of vegetarianism with the promotion of reading. In the past two years, this combination has been well-received by the general public. In addition, Fo Guang Shan aims to promote reading through the Cloud and Water Mobile Libraries in Taiwan, China, and Japan.
This year, the Kaohsiung government collaborates with Buddha Memorial Center in the event. Books for various ages, multicultural cuisines, as well as activities including the National Reading Exposition and outdoor activities, will be conducted during the event.

Dream of the Red Chamber - Painting Collection of Lushun Museum
The Dream of the Red Chamber painting collection of Lushun Museum narrates the novel with 230 pictures. It has a colorful layout, using traditional Chinese landscape and painting techniques, combined with Western perspective painting and wash methods. Realistic images and smooth lines are featured in the collection. Gardens, pavilions and landscape architecture in the picture have a strong sense of depth, offering their “readers” the most genuine feel of the spot.
