馬來西亞國家女子籃球代表隊

MALAYSIA WOMEN NATIONAL TEAM

因為多名資深隊員退役，現任的馬來西亞女子籃球隊的大部分隊員對於國際性的比賽都還經驗尚淺。除隊員邱嫊媚、張文瑈、楊欣敏與李秀芬外，其他的成員均是首次參賽。

自1997年來，馬來西亞隊伍就贏得東南亞運動會籃球比賽（SEA Games)的金牌。佛光盃國際大學女子籃球邀請賽對於這些新進隊員來說，可以累積她們在球場上的經驗，為2011年11月將在印尼舉辦的下屆東南亞運動會籃球比賽做好準備。

馬來西亞團隊對於國際佛光會給予的榮譽及參加此次比賽的機會表示非常感謝。

Malaysia Women’s National Basketball Team

With the retirement of many senior players, the present Malaysian Women Team is made up of mostly players who have not much exposure in international competition. Apart from Kew Suik May, Teo Woon Yuen, Yong Shin Min and Lee Siew Fun, the rest are frist timers on the national senior team.
The Malaysia women’s national basketball team has been winning the Gold Medal in the South-East Asian Games (SEA Games) since 1997.  The BLIA Cup International University Women’s Basketball Tournament will be a very good nurturning ground for these players as the team will be making early preparation to compete in the next SEA Games in Indonesia in November, 2011.
