國立台灣體育學院簡介

國立台灣體育學院創立於民國50年，位居於台中市，當時校名為台灣省立體專，學制三年制，直到82年改隸屬國立，並於民國85年改制成現有之國立台灣體育學院。
本校女生籃球隊從創校至今就已成立，期間從未間斷過，但因學校位於中部，與各甲組球隊相距甚遠，要招收水準較高之青年選手來校就讀，實有困難，只好挑選一些資質稍差之學生來校就讀及接受訓練，在先天條件不如人之心理壓力下，學生都能盡心盡力的努力學習與鍛鍊，在每年的大專各項比賽，本校球隊皆有良好的成績表現，另外本校一向本著推展籃運，培養一些青年選手為宗旨的政策，不管學生球隊實力的強弱，對大專體總所舉辦之比賽從未缺席，讓學生都有展現學習成果的機會。
台灣體院有幸受到佛光大學之邀請參加今年之佛光盃國際大學女子籃球邀請賽，感到無限謝意，本校是抱持著學習與磨練之心情參加本屆比賽，但願能有好的表現及成績。

National Taiwan College of Physical Education Women's Basketball Team

The women's basketball team of this college is formed since the establishment of the school,
1961, and it has been active since then. Since the location of the school is in central Taiwan, it is far
away from various famous teams. Thus, it is very difficult to recruit elite players, hence the focus is
to recruit some ordinary students for studies and trainings.

Due to congenital conditions and psychological pressure, the students are dedicated to
learn and train diligently. They have good performance in various tournaments every year.
Besides that, the school has been promoting the sport basketball and has been developing
young sports enthusiasts, which serve as the goal of the campaigns. Regardless of the strength
of the students, the team never fails to participate in the tournaments organized by the colleges
and universities. This enables the students to have the opportunities to learn and to perform.
In the academic year 2008, the school participated in the National University Basketball
League and came in fifth under the grade A Woman category. In the subsequent year, the team
advanced to the semi-final and came in fourth place.

The National Taiwan College of Physical Education is honored to be invited by Fo
Guang University to participate in the 2010 BLIA Cup International University Women's
Basketball Tournament. With deep gratitude, the college is participating in the tournament with
learning and training in mind and is looking forward to have good performances and results.
